Ambassadors

Become an OLIO Ambassador

Do you love food, hate waste, and want to connect with your community?

How to become an Ambassador?

We are supported by over 10,000 Ambassadors (grassroots volunteers) across the UK and the rest of the world. Our Ambassadors help grow OLIO in a variety of ways, including

  • Distributing letters to neighbours on their street
  • Putting up informational posters
  • Placing flyers in shops and cafes
  • Role modelling food sharing behaviour
  • Supporting new joiners
  • Telling everyone they know about OLIO!

Ambassadors proactively speak with neighbours, colleagues and friends to encourage them to download OLIO and share their spare food. After all, the more of us who join OLIO, the better it will be for everyone!

We are incredibly proud of our Ambassador programme and the contributions made by our Ambassadors, and we greatly appreciate their willingness to donate their time to help stop food waste, build hyper local sharing communities, and save the environment!

Why become an Ambassador with us?

People decide to become an Ambassador for many different reasons but they each share an enthusiasm and commitment to reducing food waste. They also understand that our individual actions can collectively lead to transformational change for society, and feel personal responsibility for helping to create the world they want to live in. Volunteering for OLIO can take as little or as much time as you like, is a fun way to meet likeminded people from diverse backgrounds, and is an extremely rewarding and tangible way to give back.

Becoming a Ambassador

The process of becoming an OLIO Ambassador is straightforward and will only take a few minutes from clicking the button below.  We will ask you to fill out a simple form and watch some very short informational videos. Then, we’ll connect you to our Ambassador Hub which is filled with how-to’s, marketing tools and FAQs. Ambassadors also have access to helpful tools to see just what the impact of their actions is in terms of increased downloads and sharing activity in their area.

We will also invite you to join our private OLIO Volunteers Facebook Group which is an exciting place where all our Volunteers come together to share inspirational stories, ask questions and connect with other volunteers in their area.

If the button does not work for you, please email volunteer@olioex.com
